We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build out our rapidly expanding infrastructure support team. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical support services ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers will have a multi-year background in on premise/cloud technologies (Office 365/G Suite), end user support for Windows/Apple operating systems, endpoint protection and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Will be a critical member of a team responsible for the successful deployment of various technologies.

Skills

• 2 Year/4 Year Degree in Computer Science/Business related field preferred.
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Office 365/G Suite environments. Experience with migrating on-premise to Office 365/G Suite is highly desirable.
• Solid experience in the configuration and administration of SonicWall firewall/VPN solutions
• Extensive knowledge in supporting Windows environments (workstations/laptops/servers)
• VMWare experience is a plus
• Experience with end-user management tools (Autotask, ConnectWise, or related solutions)
• Proven ability to understand complex issues and communicate with management and staff in a professional and supportive manner.
• Networking experience a plus (Aruba, Cisco)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

The Senior Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our client’s IT systems. This is achieved by leading technical focus for the business, bringing expert knowledge to bear because of training and experience.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

· Be able to meet with management and clients and provide expertise to provide solutions and next steps.
· Work with team members to accomplish directives provided or lead group members in delivering solutions.

Acquisition & Deployment

· Using your expertise assist the business in designing new solutions and in deploying those solutions for our clients.

Operational Management

• Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems..
• Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the clients disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
• Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes and service records.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
• Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
• Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
• Provide guidance and assign tasks to System Engineers

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

• Infrastructure expert in VMware.
• Proven experience in cloud solutions: AWS, Azure, and be able to speak about different cloud/hybrid experience.
• Exchange on premise desired.
• Office 365 implementation or Google Workspace experience highly desired.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Product Experience

Expert Level in at least one of the following:

• VMware ESXi and related technologies.
• Microsoft Exchange on Premise Implementation

Product Experience in the following is extremely helpful:

• Microsoft Server products: 2008-2019
• Microsoft SQL
• Backup technologies: Datto, and Veeam.
• Mimecast
• Cisco Umbrella
• Cisco or Aruba Networking
• HPE server products
• HPE storage products (MSA, StoreVirtual, 3PAR, Nimble)
• Fiber and iSCSI SAN products
• Autotask RMM and PSA
• Citrix
• Enterprise Vault Implementation

Formal Education

• The Senior Systems Engineer will have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of System Engineering experience (Systems Integration preferred), associate degree and 10 years related experience.
